January 11 - February 1
Key Scripture
James 4:8 (AMPC) - Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery].
Introduction*
This is a Focused Fast to Seek God more diligently; to know Him more intimately. Why do we fast? According to scripture, even faith will require us to do something more than just believe. Fasting is the act of putting our faith to work. Fasting is also a key to what we are believing God for, and puts a focus on seeking God.
John 4:34 (NIV) - “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.”
*Remember to pray in the Spirit, read the Word, and seek the face of the Lord daily.
A Prayer For You
Lord, we thank you for the privilege of prayer and fasting as a way to set us apart to connect with You in a deeper way. You said if we seek You diligently with all our heart, we would find You. Help us to seek you in 2026 like never before. Father, unveil us like never before so that our relationship with You grows and we align ourselves deeper with You in every area of our lives, to we become Divinely Connected to You, amen!
